We are proud to say that all Rollax Thermal Paper is 100% BPA free.

As business owners and operators, it is our responsibility to focus on how our venture influence health. The use of bisphenol A (BPA) in thermal paper had been subject to discussion for a long time. BPA had been the leading option for coating thermal printer paper rolls because of its attractive stability to heating.

Since the majority of thermal papers sold in worldwide had this component at their core, it made sense for the authorities to do in-depth research about how this component poses health risks to people and the environment, and whether there were safer alternatives. As a result of this research, the professional community pointed to the fact that BPA receipt paper poses some health challenges.

BPA was required to be removed from the composition of the coating of Thermal Paper following a directive issued by the EU in 2016, stating that thermal paper had to become BPA free by January 2020. BPA-free paper rolls became the preferred alternative ever since.
